33 weeks

34 weeks - Gibbs Stadium on National Signing Day

35 Weeks - Capital Building in Columbia, SC

36 weeks

37 weeks

How far along? 37 weeks as of 2/20/14 (I know...I know...so behind).

Total weight gain: Around 20-22 lbs.

Maternity clothes? In every sense of the word.

Stretch marks? A few. Bio Oil is a scam.

Sleep: Around Christmas time, I started to develop a pain in my right hip and it hasn't gone away yet. Really hoping that this is just a baby related thing.

Movement: Yes, all the time. :)

Food cravings: Apples, hot chocolate, salmon, fresh veggies and water. At 37 weeks, I developed a craving for mint chocolate but I think that's due to the fact it's Girl Scout cookie time. Hello, thin mints!  Sodas/fried food are still a no-no.

Gender: No idea :)

Baby is: the size of a Honeydew {17.2-18.7 inches, 4.2-5.8 lb}

Best moment these last few weeks: Really everything! This pregnancy has been great and we're blessed with three showers during January. Lenny and I did go on a Baby Moon to Chattanooga, TN and we're still out and about with family and friends. I am still practicing yoga and can still do a headstand at 37 weeks.

Day #1580 - Big news!

Big news in the Mathis family this summer! We’re expecting a little one in March and are over the moon with the thought of hearing the pitter-patter of little feet at our house soon.

Week 13: Announcement Party!

We did start capturing the weeks and decided to take the photo in different location each week. That way we’re documenting what we were doing before Baby M arrives. Since I’m behind, I’m combining week 14 and 15 together since they were pretty similar.

Week 14: Greek Festival

Week 15: Cherry Grove Beach

How far along? 15 weeks as of 9/19/13

Total weight gain: .5 lb.

Maternity clothes? Not yet.

Stretch marks? Not at all.

Sleep: Week 14 and week 15 has brought me lack of sleep. I’m having very odd dreams {several in a night} and of course visiting the restroom several times in a night. Movement: Yesterday, I thought I felt movement but since I have no clue what “movement” really means…I’m going to go with no.

Food cravings: All day sickness has been pretty consistent so I don't have any cravings except for smoothies from a particular place in town. I tried to make them at home and there weren’t the same.

Gender: Not finding out till he or she arrives.

Baby is: the size of an apple {4 inches, 2.5 ounces}

Best moment this week: Seeing people’s faces when we tell them we’re pregnant.

Looking forward to: Checking things off our to-do list. Nursery is already painted and I think I have the crib picked out. Just need to go ahead and buy things.

Day #774

Today, I came across this verse and find that God can provide the message that you need the most when you least expect it.

Romans 5:3
"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;"

Day #728

Almost 2 years!

In 48 hours, Mr. M and I head off to the great state of California to enjoy San Fransisco and wine country as we celebrate two great years on Monday. Now cue Uncle Jesse and

the theme music...

This morning, I discovered that our local newspaper made us the feature couple of their ad for engagement and wedding announcements. The timing of this is perfect!

My how time has flown by...

Day #620

Thankful Tuesday…

Every Tuesday, I take a moment to give thanks to one thing that I’m thankful for in my life. Some of my blessings are sweet and some of them are silly but all of them are important to me.

This Tuesday I'm thankful for my church and the fellowship it brings…

While we are probably some of its youngest members, I do enjoy our church family. It has introduced Mr. M and me to a different group of people that we would not have met outside of Central. Each month, someone from our 20/30 Young Adults group will host a dinner and invite the rest of the group. We even get together for a baby showers as Mr. M and I are hosting the next one at our house in a few weeks. Overall, it’s a great group of people that have taught us a lot over the last few years.

Day #613

Thankful Tuesday…

Every Tuesday, I take a moment to give thanks to one thing that I’m thankful for in my life. Some of my blessings are sweet and some of them are silly but all of them are important to me.

I'm so very thankful for our Military.

You can not place a price tag of the services that they provide us. It is such a large sacrifice that they {and their families} give to us and one that I feel that we can not every repay.
