Day #550

So yesterday, Mr. M and I celebrate a 1 1/2 of marriage. Go us!

I did win ILYD so now I'm in the lead.

We also had our first "bunker down" experience as two tornadoes were spotted miles from our house. Imagine trying to get a 26 pound cat and a 19 pound cat into a bathroom as fast as possible. My hands are now covered with scratches. I will say that it must be the Midwestern in me to immediately act to a tornado warning...or maybe I watched Twister one to many times. Luckily, both small towns did not receive extensive damage and I am now in search of a weather radio.

Day #538

School is finally winding down and I'm coming back to reality. Just to catch you up on the lives of the Ms. I won ILYD for October. Whoo! Next month marks a year and a half of marriage.

Totally crazy.

Football is coming to a close in the next few weeks and basketball at WoCo has already started. Hopefully, we'll have a few days of R&R before 2011 but I'm highly doubting it. ;) This Saturday's game determines my Thanksgiving plans if we A) travel to some random city in the US or B) if I get to stay home. Either plan is great, it's the waiting limbo that I could do without.

Day #513

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born - it's an idea, a state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, high school football, beer, and acoustic guitars. It's being hospitable, being devoted to front porches, moon pies, sun drop, and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way."
